Jashn Curries & Kebabs
Review by Joe Cummings / CPA Media (8 February 2026)
Jashn Curries & Kebabs brings refined Indian dining – specifically the Mughlai and Awadhi styles – into a modern, welcoming space. Under the guidance of chef Sudipto Bhattacharya, the kitchen balances authenticity with innovation, and traditional recipes with contemporary presentation, producing flavor profiles that are both comforting and surprising.
Curries here show careful layering, with slow-cooked lamb rogan josh standing out for tender meat and aromatic spices. Butter chicken carries a gentle smokiness, its sauce rich yet not heavy, while vegetarian options like palak paneer reveal equal attention to balance and depth. Kebabs form another highlight: murgh malai tikka delivers melt-in-mouth succulence, while seekh kebabs bring lively bursts of spice with each bite.
Chef Sudipto's training and passion emerge not only in main courses but also in smaller details. Crisp samosas arrive with chutneys that cut richness with bright acidity. Fresh naan, brushed with ghee, pairs seamlessly with every curry. Guests seeking seafood will find prawn koliwada spiced just enough to complement the sweetness of shellfish. Among the desserts, rasmalai tres leches stands out with creamy layers of saffron milk, rasmalai and rabri, garnished with pistachio nuts and dried rose petals.
The restaurant's interior walls display a rich royal blue while the ceiling boasts geometrical patterns taken from Islamic architecture, creating an understated elegance. Service remains attentive yet relaxed, encouraging diners to share family-style dishes.
