We are a British-owned company based in the historic and lovely old walled city of Chiang Mai in the far north of Thailand, surrounded by forested mountains - a wonderful place to live and work.

CPA Media was founded in Hong Kong in 1993 as a News and Features Agency supplying articles on many aspects of Asian arts, culture, history, society and politics, but with a special interest in Thailand, Southeast Asia, China and parts of the Muslim World.

We also supply historical and contemporary images and have built up a stock library holding more than 120,000 Asia-related images, which continues to expand. In 2010 we began digitising this collection - a long and complex process, which is, however, very rewarding - and in 2011 we set up Pictures From History as the online image library of CPA Media.
